Beyond The Loop | Training Activity on Process Innovation & Delegation
Beyond The Loop is a short, low-prop activity with a big payload. A team passes a single object — standing in for a task or a customer order — around a circle under one simple rule, then races to go faster round after round. They shave off seconds… until they hit a wall. The breakthrough only comes when someone stops optimising the circle and questions the shape of the process itself.
It's a clean, physical stand-in for any inherited work process nobody has re-examined — and it surfaces two things at once: the ceiling on incremental improvement, and the personal choice to stay silent about a gap or speak up.
Theme: Process Reinvention vs. Incremental Effort · Group size: 8–14 per circle · Runs in: 15–20 min (40–50 with full debrief). Great for process-improvement, innovation & breakthrough-thinking sessions, new-manager and delegation programmes, and as a high-impact energiser.
