Picture Your Story is a ready-to-run photo-elicitation activity that gives facilitators a structured, low-pressure route to openness, trust and self-disclosure. Participants pick a photograph that represents their answer to a guided question, then share the story behind their choice — people consistently share more, and more honestly, than they would if asked directly.

Because they're describing a picture rather than answering a question cold, the image creates safe symbolic distance. It's built on the well-established photo-elicitation method and maps cleanly to the Johari Window — moving selected information from Hidden to Open.
